What to expect for manual therapy, massage therapy and holistic health services:
- Massage therapy appointments can be scheduled for 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your initial consultation to complete necessary forms.
- Treatments take place in a warm, peaceful and private environment with soothing music to enhance your relaxation, healing and comfort.
- For some massage therapy techniques, you will undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped throughout the session; your modesty is respected at all times. Other techniques do not require undressing; loose, comfortable clothing is suggested for these sessions. If you have a concern about proper attire, please call with any questions.
- To assist you in achieving your goals, your individual needs, concerns and any injuries will be discussed prior to the start of your treatment.
- In order to make sure that your experience is positive and rewarding, you may request a specific technique or you may choose to receive a “blended” session in which a variety of techniques, based on what your body reveals, will be used during the session (i.e. a blend of gentle massage, deep tissue compressions and gentle range of motion). Your desired treatment style will be discussed prior to the start of your treatment.
What to wear:
- All clients should wear (or bring to change into) athletic or dance shorts (short and/or with loose leg and elastic waistband), t-shirt (men), spaghetti strap tank top (women), “regular” bra that hooks in the back (women), athletic socks/shoes and have the hair tied up off of the neck (no bobby pins please).
